Smart Moves For Business

Smart Moves For Business (SMFB) program can work wonders for you. It's a voluntary partnership among NJDOT, Transportation Management Associations (TMA's) and businesses, designed to reduce traffic congestion and make commuting easier for your employees.

SMFB asks companies to offer commute choices such as carpooling, telecommuting or flex hours to employees. In return, companies can get tax credits, funding grants and assistance setting up and managing their SMFB program.

SMFB programs can improve employee productivity, attendance and morale -- not to mention a company's image. And, they benefit all of New Jersey with less crowded roads and cleaner air.

Getting Involved is Easy

Encourage your employees to make commute choices: participate in transportation fairs, encourage ridesharing and transit options, implement telecommuting or compresses work schedules, offer preferential parking, or recognize those who make smart commute choices.

The TMA can assist your company in providing these services, along with guidance with federal and state incentive programs including tax-credits and grant applications.
