Trenton Cycling
Revolution - The
Trenton Cycling Revolution is a non-profit organization whose
mission is to create a safe and healthy environment for bicyclists
in Greater Trenton through education, advocacy, and promotion.

Lawrence Hopewell Trail - Corporations,
environmental groups, public agencies, and others are coming
together to create a 20-mile paved multi-use path in Lawrence and
Hopewell townships. This loop will connect parks, corporate sites,
and neighborhoods.

Delaware
and Raritan Canal bridge at Route 1 - The NJ Department of
Transportation is constructing a pedestrian overpass where the
Delaware and Raritan Canal Towpath crosses Route 1 in Lawrence
Township.
Route 29 Bikeway - The NJ Department
of Transportation will be constructing a
multi-use bicycle and pedestrian path along Route 29
adjacent to the Delaware River. The path will begin at the
southern terminus of Stacy Park and extend south to the Trenton Fishing
Wharf. The Fishing Wharf will also be rehabilitated. This bikeway is an
integral part of providing continuous public acces to the
Delaware waterfront along the length of Trenton. Construction could begin in late 2004.
East Coast Greenway - This is an ambitious project to link existing and planned
multi-use paths, connecting urban and rural areas from Maine to
Florida. The Mercer County section will utilize the D&R Canal
State Park and cross into Pennsylvania over the Calhoun Street
bridge in Trenton. www.greenway.org
Delaware River Heritage Trail - The
Delaware River Heritage Trail is a planned 50-mile loop route
between Philadelphia and Trenton that will take bikers and hikers
along the banks of the river on both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania
sides.
Capital to the Coast - This
project will create a path from Trenton through Mercer and Monmouth
counties to Manasquan on parkland and roads. The organizers are
currently seeking town resolutions, finalizing the route, and
seeking funding.
